Rainy Day in Georgia....

Last night was just like the song "Rainy Night in Georgia," but it was more cozy than melancholy, since we were spending it with folks we love. Today the sun peeped through once, but other than that the rain has prevailed. It is supposed to be sunny and up to 60 degrees tomorrow.



Wyatt wore his dinosaur jammies to bed last night. He must have slept well, judging from his good morning smile. Note the buddha belly:




After breakfast he got dressed up in his doggy shirt from Uncle Matt and Aunt Melissa.
Opa was lookin' good in his new Christmas shirt and sweater.



But before getting dressed, Wyatt had to check his email - a very 21st. century lad.



It was quite exciting when we got to church this morning. There was an EMT unit and a fire truck there, and more fire trucks on the way. Alicia and I weren't even sure we should take Wyatt inside until we knew what was going on, but when we saw them send the other fire engines back, we figured it was ok. When we got inside Alicia asked someone what had been going on, and was told that a lady had gone into labor in one of the Sunday School classes. I don't know what the fire engines were supposed to do to help with that, but I will be waiting to hear the birth announcement.
It has been a quiet afternoon. Wyatt and the parents took naps. I fixed some lasagna for supper and had a cup of well-doctored coffee from Joseph's Keurig machine. Opa has been having a Mayberry festival on TVLand. One of the dogs is lying in the doorway trying to lick off all his fur, evidently. I think it's Griffey. So I'll break off this exciting tale for now, and go rejoin the clan.
